ABC’s of Love

All of me wants to find love
Before I leave or die
Curiously looking for something different.

Don’t ever think that I’m lonely
Even when I say I am or stare at the sky
Feeling emptiness grown from here to the grave
God knows I am not lonely.

Here I am chasing the world
Imagining that someone may be out there
Just for me
Knowing that no one deserves anything
Let alone love.

Must be nice or stupid to imagine
Neither of us feeling like we are missing things
Overanalyzing our surroundings hopefully.

Please, wherever you are think of me
Quickly, before I leave running away from
Reality or something
Some place better.

That is it.
Underneath everything
Vain and childish I think you’re perfect
Wonderfully real
Xanthic and fresh like a daffodil
You are everything, briefly going through the world
Zipping by before I ever see you.
